"My Supports"

Support is a very important tool to receive and to delivery. In my daily environment, I have several supporters that are caring. I am supported physically, emotionally, and socially throughout the week. My good neighbors and I take turns throughout the week helping each other work in the flower gardens. If they see that I am grooming my flower gardens a few of them would put on their gloves and join me. Sometime I gets extremely tire when I am working alone, but with their support, I finish faster.

My granddaughter is another incredible supporter. After I pick her up from the bus stop and take her to my place, it is none stop. She sometime washes dishes, dust, sweep and feed Freddie (the dog) for me. Even the smallest support is beneficial to me and without their help it would be more for me to do. Without good neighbors and my wonderful granddaughter helping me to get through the week, I would be way behind on my daily duties.

One of the biggest challenges I can imagine is not having family support. I want and need the support of my family each and every day; even if it is just a phone call. When my son visits, he supports me by trimming flower trees and cutting the yard. Afterward, he would walk Freddie around for a little while before going home.

If I cannot run errors, my daughter would go for me. The support she gives me in the run of a week helps me to do other things that need to be done. Most time when certain situation comes up my daughter responds in a much supported way. The benefits of having her around includes going grocery shopping, picking up medicine, going to the cleaner and helping out inside the house. Without the support of my family, I will not finish all the tasks that should be done on a daily basis. If my son, daughter and two grandchildren were living in another state, I do not think my life would be the same, because I love the four of them so much. Everyone should feel that they can count on family support in their time of needs.
